Grandma’s Apple Sauce Raisin Cake

2 c. flour
1 ½ t. baking soda
¾ t. salt
½ t. allspice
1 c. raisins
½ c. shortening
½ t. cinnamon
½ t. nutmeg
1 ½ c. sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 t. cocoa
1 ½ c. applesauce
1 c. nuts

Mix as you would any other cake.
Fold in raisins and chopped nuts.
Bake at 350 for an hour. Test with toothpick.
